Robin and Danuta Pfeiffer

Owners & Winemakers

Robin grew up on the land that is now Pfeiffer Vineyards & Winery. His family raised sheep and chickens for 30 years and lived in a small Quonset house where the winery parking lot is now. He acquired 2 Master Degrees, in Foreign Language Studies and Counseling. He lived in Peru, Mexico and Chile and taught at the University of San Marcos in Lima. He was also a Spanish teacher for 33 years. Robin is one of the early pioneers in the state wine industry having planted his 70-acre vineyard on the south facing slope of the property in 1984. He also planted a sustainable, award-winning forest on the north-facing slope.

Danuta was a ski instructor, swim instructor, scuba diver, sky diver, and a long distance bicycle rider. Her first book, Watersafe Your Baby in One Week, was the first definitive book on teaching water survival to infants. Graduating from the University of Colorado, and through various high-profile TV and radio jobs in San Diego, she became the co-host on the international television show, The 700 Club with Pat Robertson. Disillusioned, she retreated to her progressive roots, wrote an award-winning book, Chiseled, and now makes wine, loves and laughs with Robin, the love of her life.

Bill Kremer

Winemaker

Bill has been working in the Oregon wine industry since 1995 and began working as Pfeiffer Winery’s consulting winemaker in 2008. He has a Masters Degree in Enology from UC Davis, and a Masters Degree in Clinical Microbiology from the University of Washington. Bill was born in South Dakota, and worked as a Medical Technologist after undergraduate college, but was drawn to live on the west coast. He guides the wines (and the Pfeiffer’s) through the process from “vine-to-wine”.

Theodore Baglien

Assistant Wine Maker

Theodore is a Corvallis native and received his bachelor’s degree in enology and viticulture from Oregon State University. When he’s not assisting our wine maker at Pfeiffer, he is an avid photographer and mixologist with a passion for cooking. Theodore was driven to a career in wine because of his deep appreciation for the uniqueness and complexity of wine.  He enjoys sipping a glass of his favorite Oregon Pinot Noir while playing Eve online.

Shannon grew up in Southern Indiana, near the Ohio River, and studied Marine Biology, Ecology and Chemistry at University of Oregon. She fell in love with the idea that wine is an ever-changing, evolving fluid until the moment it’s ingested. “I love the science of it all!” she says. Her favorite Pfeiffer wine is the Blanc de Noirs, and in her spare time she fosters and trains canines. Stop by and welcome her to the Pfeiffer family.

Jennifer Williams

Wine Club & Marketing Manager

Jennifer is Alaskan born, but Oregon raised. She recently moved back to Oregon from Alaska after working in journalism and broadcasting since 2016. Continuing her career here as a journalist she works for a newspaper in Corvallis and has been published in the New York Times. In her free time, she can be found with a glass of our Blanc de Noirs in hand while recording an episode for her podcast where she talks to people about mental health.

Monique Balas Butler

Office Manager

Monique first discovered the wonders of wine while living in France as an exchange student and has been cultivating it ever since. Monique has a background in journalism and wrote a weekly column about pets for The Oregonian / OregonLive before moving to Eugene in 2015. She enjoys reading, running, playing the clarinet, spending time with her husband and their 2 cats, and connecting with people over great wine and conversation.

Anna Fleischman

Tasting Room Lead

Anna, an Oregon native, grew up visiting wineries which is where her love of wine began. She is a journalism student at the University of Oregon with a minor in global studies. Her favorite Pfeiffer wine is our 2016 Blue Line Pinot Noir. Outside of work, Anna likes to play Dungeons and Dragons, hang out with her rabbit, and get out hiking whenever she can. Fun fact, Anna knows American Sign Language and speaks some Portuguese.

Dylan Carp

Tasting Room Associate

Dylan grew up in Boone, North Carolina before heading to the PNW. He went to college for American Studies and is fluent in Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. When Dylan is not pouring wine at Pfeiffer, he is usually outdoors either running or hiking or sipping on a glass of our 2017 Barrel Select Pinot Noir. Dylan hopes to one day open his own re

Bella Garcia

Tasting Room Associate

Bella grew up in Oakland, California before moving to Eugene for school. She is currently attending the University of Oregon studying Journalism with a focus in Advertising. She hopes to one day work on a creative team for an Advertising Agency or go into wine sales. Bella wanted to work at Pfeiffer to learn how our wine is made and have a hands-on part of the process from harvest, to bottling, to selling to our guests. When she’s not pouring wine in our tasting room she is hanging out with her 10 month old nephew and her two parakeets.

Casey Bush

Tasting Room Associate

Casey grew up in Arcata California. She attended the University of North Dakota and studied forensic science/genetics, then did a year at College of the Redwoods with General studies, then a year at Consumnes River College in Sacramento for architecture, and finally Southern Oregon University for music.  She participated in the Symphonies at UND and SOU and has been playing the violon for 31 years. In her spare time she is hanging out with her 3 kids, 2 dogs and kitty cat. Her favorite Pfeiffer wine is a cold glass of Pinot Gris on a summer day.

Patrick Hilligoss

Tasting Room Associate

Patrick grew up in Redwood, California and attended Southern Oregon University to study Business Administration and hopes to one day work in finance someday. He enjoys being outdoors either hiking a new trail or kayaking the local rivers. Patrick has a deep love and red wines and enjoys pairing our 2020 Toast Pinot Noir with a steak dinner. Patrick has a fraternal twin!

Dawn Looney-Stevens

Tasting Room Associate

Dawn grew up in Junction City and went to Lane Community College to study small business. In her spare time, she is a travel nanny and creates wearable art while sipping on a glass of our Blue Dot Pinot Noir. She hopes to one day move to Spain to build puppets and burn them in the street on Spring Equinox. Dawn has three children and one grandchild.
