Robin and Danuta Pfeiffer

Owners & Winemakers

Robin grew up on the land that is now Pfeiffer Vineyards & Winery. His family raised sheep and chickens for 30 years and lived in a small Quonset house where the winery parking lot is now. He acquired 2 Master Degrees, in Foreign Language Studies and Counseling. He lived in Peru, Mexico and Chile and taught at the University of San Marcos in Lima. He was also a Spanish teacher for 33 years. Robin is one of the early pioneers in the state wine industry having planted his 70-acre vineyard on the south facing slope of the property in 1984. He also planted a sustainable, award-winning forest on the north-facing slope.

Danuta was a ski instructor, swim instructor, scuba diver, sky diver, and a long distance bicycle rider. Her first book, Watersafe Your Baby in One Week, was the first definitive book on teaching water survival to infants. Graduating from the University of Colorado, and through various high-profile TV and radio jobs in San Diego, she became the co-host on the international television show, The 700 Club with Pat Robertson. Disillusioned, she retreated to her progressive roots, wrote an award-winning book, Chiseled, and now makes wine, loves and laughs with Robin, the love of her life.

Bill Kremer

Winemaker

Bill has been working in the Oregon wine industry since 1995 and began working as Pfeiffer Winery’s consulting winemaker in 2008. He has a Masters Degree in Enology from UC Davis, and a Masters Degree in Clinical Microbiology from the University of Washington. Bill was born in South Dakota, and worked as a Medical Technologist after undergraduate college, but was drawn to live on the west coast. He guides the wines (and the Pfeiffer’s) through the process from “vine-to-wine”.

Theodore Baglien

Assistant Wine Maker

Theodore is a Corvallis native and received his bachelor’s degree in enology and viticulture from Oregon State University. When he’s not assisting our wine maker at Pfeiffer, he is an avid photographer and mixologist with a passion for cooking. Theodore was driven to a career in wine because of his deep appreciation for the uniqueness and complexity of wine.  He enjoys sipping a glass of his favorite Oregon Pinot Noir while playing Eve online.

Doug Oldfield

General & Wine Club Manager

With a B.A. in Journalism and a Master’s Degree in Integrated Marketing from the University of Nebraska, Doug has spent 25 years building businesses and leading sales teams all over the world. His passion for wine was always present through his travels, so Doug made the decision to move to Oregon, and join the team at Pfeiffer in 2020. An avid runner with dozens of marathons to his credit, Doug enjoys spending his free time being active with his wife, Julie, and exploring Oregon. In addition to juggling his many duties at General Manager, Doug is an accomplished juggler. Have him show off his talents on your next visit!

Isabel Rylko

Social Media Director

Isabel was born in Mexico, grew up in Eugene, Oregon, and is bilingual. She is the Social Media Director here at Pfeiffer Winery, so when you see all those posts on Facebook and Instagram, that is her niche! When she is enjoying time off, she loves being outdoors hiking, kayaking, snorkeling and being adventurous with her husband, Paul.

Paul Rylko

Landscape Artist

Paul is Danuta’s son. Paul has put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into making Pfeiffer Winery’s Water Garden as beautiful as it can be! Next time you visit, if you see Paul out there watering the hundreds of plants and trees, be sure to say hi! Paul loves to go on outdoor adventures with his new wife, Isabel, and the Pfeiffer Winery pups, Paco & Bumper.

Jennifer Williams

Tasting Room & Events Manager

Jennifer is Alaskan born, but Oregon raised. She recently moved back to Oregon from Alaska after working in journalism and broadcasting since 2016. Continuing her career here as a journalist she works for a newspaper in Corvallis and has been published in the New York Times. In her free time, she can be found with a glass of our Blanc de Noirs in hand while recording an episode for her podcast where she talks to people about mental health.

 

Monique Balas Butler

Office Manager

Monique first discovered the wonders of wine while living in France as an exchange student and has been cultivating it ever since. Monique has a background in journalism and wrote a weekly column about pets for The Oregonian / OregonLive before moving to Eugene in 2015. She enjoys reading, running, playing the clarinet, spending time with her husband and their 2 cats, and connecting with people over great wine and conversation.

Anna Fleischman

Tasting Room Lead

Anna, an Oregon native, grew up visiting wineries which is where her love of wine began. She is a journalism student at the University of Oregon with a minor in global studies. Her favorite Pfeiffer wine is our 2016 Blue Line Pinot Noir. Outside of work, Anna likes to play Dungeons and Dragons, hang out with her rabbit, and get out hiking whenever she can. Fun fact, Anna knows American Sign Language and speaks some Portuguese.

Maya Rosales

Tasting Room Associate

Maya was born in Eugene, Oregon, and has spent the majority of her life enjoying the charm Oregon has to offer, although for the past year she has been studying behavioral health science at Grand Canyon University. Besides being passionate about what the wine industry has to teach her, Maya in her spare time enjoys discovering new hiking trails, arts and crafts, bike riding with friends, and winning a game of cornhole! Be sure to stop by and welcome Maya to the Pfieffer Family.

Adilene Gomez

Tasting Room Associate

Adilene was born in Mexico, but has lived in Florida for most of her life. Adilene worked at Stryker as a Production Associate and rapidly moved to become part of the quality control personal team. She decided to take a trip last year to Oregon in which she fell in love, not only with Oregon, but the wine here as well. Adilene moved to Oregon last month is excited to dive into the world of Pfeiffer wine.

Tivon Ingalsbee

Tasting Room Associate

Tivon is an Oregon native, born and raised in South Eugene. He graduated from Lane Community College with a degree in automotive technology, but decided his love for grapes was greater than his love for gears. He plans on pursuing a career in the Oregon wine industry, and is very excited about sharing all that Pfeiffer has to offer. Outside of work, Tivon is an avid hiker, biker, snowboarder, and wine drinker. His favorite Pfeiffer wine is our Tango Red Blend, a complex and silky smooth testament to his own personality.

Vic Nevarez

Tasting Room Associate

Vic grew up in San Diego, California where she developed a love and taste for craft coffee. When she moved to the Willamette Valley she expanded her palate to include a fondness for wine. She plans to continue to further her career in both wine and coffee to stimulate her creativity and passion for flavor. In her free time you can catch her cozying up to her pup, or at Pfeiffer enjoying a glass of the 2019 Tango Red Blend
